The Chancel Choir sings at the 11 am traditional worship service and rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:30- 8pm. Anthems, chosen primarily for their relevance to the appointed scripture for the day or the liturgical season, are composed by both classical and contemporary choral musicians.
For the 2016-2017 singing year, we anticipate celebrating WORLD DAY OF SINGING in October, ALL SAINTS in November, Festival of Lights and the Hanging of the Greens in Advent as well as Durante's Magnificat, and a traditional serivce of Lessons and Carols
Choral music at the 8:45 am Traditional Worship service also features solos and quartets by choral scholars who are currently students at Austin Peay State University. Paid Positions for Choral Scholars are currently available.
The choir is accompanied by Alan Hanson playing the 1949 Mohler organ or the 1906 Steinway Grand piano.
