Be the Church Outreach & Top Golf

The Hop 1st UMC Youth will be traveling to Nashville to take part in a multi church outreach event in downtown Nashville called “Be the Church” on Saturday, October 26th. We will meet in the front parking lot of the church at 8:30am and plan to leave for Nashville by 8:45am. After the outreach is over, we will go eat lunch and have some fun as a group at Top Golf Nashville (which will cost $30 per person)! We plan to be back in Hopkinsville around 4:00pm.

"We are gathering items for our winter trip to Nashville such as clothes like hoodies, sweatshirts and long sleeve shirts, coats, jeans, sweats, long john's, hats, gloves, scarves, blankets, backpacks, sleeping bags, tarps, tents, rain ponchos, hand warmers, cough drops, shoes, soap, deodorant, lotion, feminine products, tooth brushes, tooth paste, band aids, neosporin, and prepackaged foods such as Vienna sausages, potted meat, slim Jim's, breakfast bars, and water. We are grateful as always to have Bomba socks to distribute! Thank you and God bless you to those who have already contacted me and have started buying and donating things. Pray we go and be the hands and feet of Jesus! Pray for a clear day, protection for the youth going, and safe travels. May God be glorified and they know we are Christians by our love!"--Diane Oakley, Founder & Chaplain of Be the Church

I have been taking members of my youth group to participate in these outreaches since 2018, and the impact they have on both the recipient and the giver goes far beyond the two hours spent handing out supplies. I look forward to being a part of this outreach once again this fall and hope that you'll sign up to join us for this event by clicking HERE! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Jon!

If you would like to donate to the Be the Church Outreach please click HERE to see our Amazon Wish-list, or feel free to bring any donations to my office.

    Thank You!

Reminder! All students must have a 2024-2025 school year emergency release form on file as we will be leaving the church campus for this event!
