The goal of our Student Ministries Program is threefold:
1. We want to ensure that our students have been introduced to Christ.
We achieve this goal by creating an
environment where students understand and accept the priorities of our Student Ministries Program:
1.) Your relationship with Christ.
2.) Everyone else's relationship with Christ.
3.) Your relationships with everyone else.
When everyone understands and accepts these priorities they
better understand when it is time to be serious vs. when it is time to be goofy. Thus students feel comfortable expressing themselves and asking
questions without feeling as if they are asking "stupid
questions".
2. We want to encourage and support the growth of student's personal relationship with Christ.
We achieve
this goal as students participate in the life of the church through
Sunday Morning Worship (9am Modern or 11am Traditional), Sunday School, Sunday Night Youth, and various other church activities and events.
3. We want to assist our students in building a solid Christian foundation for their lives.
These
goals not only look at the present, but also to the future. As students
graduate and move on to the next
phase of their lives, they have not only heard about Christ, but have
learned
how to have a real relationship with Him, having developed a faith
that is
their own, and is not merely a reflection of their parent's or mentor's.
